It talks about the struggle she went through on a day to day basis and how she just wanted to curl up and die. It talks about the deep depression she went through and having to go through years of grief counseling. It goes into great detail about what the author went through from the first day she heard of her mother's death and wanting to die to God taking her to the other side of her grief and wanting to go on living to help others with their struggle in dealing with their own loss of loved ones. The book gives details of: - the author's grief journal- poems explaining the suffering she went through, the tears she shed- how alone she felt even though she was around other people- the author's great love for her mother and how she appreciated everything she did to show her love- her mother's pain and struggle and how she worked so hard and gave so much of herself to keep the family together- how the author with God's help managed to get through and move on to want to live and enjoy her life again- how God transformed her and moved her to the other side of her grief- forgiveness- and how through counseling the author was able to forgive her father for mistreating her motherThis book would be a great gift for anyone who has experienced the loss of a significant loved one. It tells of the author wanting to help others come out of their grief and struggle. It shows how God can and will help us in the midst of our pain. Patricia A. Stanley is an author, wife, mother, family nurturer, and encourager. She was born and raised in Cambridge, a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Cambridge was a place of riots and unrest during her childhood. But despite all, her mother was always a source of comfort for her.The day she lost her mother she thought her life was over. But God had another plan. He brought her out of a deep depression and gave her a reason to keep on living. Patricia enjoys helping others and through her writing she hopes to touch the lives of millions of people to bring healing and hope to those who have lost significant loved ones. She wants them to know they can experience God's love, emotional healing, and His peace during their grieving journey.In addition to writing she enjoys reading, shopping, going for long peaceful rides with her husband, traveling, spending time with her grown son James Jr., her sisters, nieces, and nephews.Patricia loves her church and has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Maryland for many years. She has been married to her husband James for 40 years and they reside in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
