El primer monólogo, La Tumbadora, aborda la vida de una envejecida vedette cubana, Emilia Gómez, quien comienza por reseñar su propia muerte como noticia de un periódico. Emilia realizará un viaje retrspectivo a su pasado, reviviendo y cantando sus épocas pasadas hasta llegar a su presente, cuando ya ha sido olvidada.
El segundo monólogo, Treinta y uno, dramatiza la vida de un conductor de autobuses, José Socorro del Carmen y la Consolación Contreras Zambrano, alias treinta y uno, quien narra su vida, volviendo desde el más allá para contar los pormenores de su desordenada vida amorosa. Contará con intervenciones en off, de sus antiguas mujeres y de una especie de guía que le corrige en voz alta cuando él dice alguna palabra incorrecta. Treinta y uno es monólogo abordado desde los modismos coloquiales del Estado Táchira, Venezuela, frontera con Colombia. Este monólogo, de corte localista y hasta neocostumbrista está lleno de humor. José Socorro del Carmen y la Consolación Contreras Zambrano, Treinta y uno, es un típico padrote que ha dejado la geografía llena de hijos y muestra la vida del hombre que por razones de trabajo fue teniendo amores en todos lados. Su monólogo es narrado en un estilo jocoso desde la visión de un hombre mayor que ya ha muerto.
