The drama of the teen years is played out in these thirty-four scenes and monologs for young actors. Written as teens speak and encompassing the myriad of emotions typical of the "growing up" years, the scenes in this drama book cover real-life situations from teen experiences. The script lengths vary from two to twelve minutes. Themes include bulimia, gossip, jealousy, self-esteem, friendship, fitting in, tests, and relationships -- experiences to laugh and cry about. Scenes are included for boys, girls, and mixed casts. Royalty-free performance with book purchase.

Krell-Oishi, Mary: - Mary Krell-Oishi has been teaching since 1976 and began her theatre teaching career at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California, in 1984. She completed her Masters in Theatre Education at California State University, Fullerton and has absolutely no plans whatsoever to pursue a higher degree. One is enough, thank you very much. Her primary career joy has been and remains teaching high school theatre and interacting with young, fresh talent. Mrs. Krell-Oishi takes great pride in the fact she was named as Playwright of the Year by the California State Thespians at their conference in 1995. She plans to continue working with high school drama students and to focus her writing for them. Mary lives with her husband Harris, son Richard, and cat B.C. in Yorba Linda, California.
