Eight-year-old Lily begins third grade with a spunky hairdo, superbulous clothes, and a renewed determination to have an epic year! When her teacher, Mrs. Murphy, introduces the Irish Tidy Town Project, Lily and her friends form The Shamrock Squad to create the best community project ever. But how does their friend Mortimer, a ginormous clumsy moose, fit into their plan? Together, they navigate Safety Patrol, Bingo Night at the senior center, and a trio of mean girls. When everything turns into a disaster, Lily comes up with the perfect plan, proving that with a little creativity and a lot of heart, friendship can overcome any obstacle.

A spin-off of the award-winning chapter book series, Mortimer and Me, each book in this new series, Mortimer and Lily, takes the reader on a journey full of twists and turns, turning ordinary days into unforgettable adventures. Warm, funny, and full of heart, this series is perfect for young readers who love humor, surprises, and friends who come in all shapes and sizes - even with antlers!

REVIEW:

What a joy! Kathie McMahon takes us on yet another rollicking ride with the Dunstan Elementary kids and their bestie 'classmate', Mortimer. This time out it's Jimmy's little sister, Lily, trying to reign in our favorite moose. That proves to be no easy task. But with lots of effort, some cooperation, and a little luck, they succeed. This latest moose misadventure is brought to life with Tanja Bauerle's endearing illustrations. It's an irresistible combination that will leave readers eager for more.
