Gary has taught ethics, leadership and spirituality at the undergraduate and graduate levels for thirty years. He has also filled leadership roles in higher education as dean of life-long learning, dean of graduate studies, vice president for academic affairs and co-founder and first director of the Center for Spirituality and Leadership at Marian University. He has consulted with a broad range of organizations and has facilitated executive development programs on dialogue, authentic leadership, values and vision, professional ethics and the respectful workplace. He is the author of Marrow, Muscle, Flight: Poems which won the Midwest Book Award for poetry, and Choose Wisely: Practical Insights from Spiritual Traditions. Joe is a principal and co-founder of the LAByrinth Xperience, the precursor to Mountain 10. The Mountain 10 technology is grounded in Joe's pioneering work in applying the labyrinth to innovation and creativity in business and other organizations. He is a founding member of the Labyrinth Society. He has presented workshops throughout the world informed by his experience as an art educator and TV director. His clients include Dupont, Area Energy, DeAgostini Publishing Group, IT, Exxon, Federal Express, EURO RSGQ worldwide, University of Tennessee leadership program, New Haven University MBA leadership program, Union Institute and University, and the Center for Creative Leadership, among others.
