Mrs. God's Tales of Creation is David Satinoff's first novel, originally written in 1992, then revised and published on Amazon Kindle in 2020 [removed awaiting this third edition]. He has written several other novels including one in the Young Adult or Teen genre and one for middle-graders, and other unfinished fiction including a screenplay. He has been writing fiction since his 20s. He discovered his writing talent back in 8th grade when the class was assigned to do a school paper and David was shocked to see his three articles were published on the front page, including the headline. In the early 80s, he edited, wrote, designed and published a government agency newsletter. The author is also a musician and had his own original band as singer, songwriter, drummer.

In His Own Words

"The concept stems from my lifelong fascination with God as a nonbeliever from childhood. I later started calling myself a "devout" atheist. Since discovering my writing talent, I anticipated one day writing something significant, and that day came when out of the blue the idea of a lifetime came was injected into my mind from the Lord of Atheists and Agnostics above: Mrs. God! I was instantly turned on.

"Originally, she was fed up that her beloved husband, who is supposed to have the power to do anything and knows everything, when taking a breather from hearing prayers all day and night, was watching idly by, like the Emperor Nero, fiddling while the world goes up in flames, as people run amok with never-ending hatred, violence, cruelty and seemingly perpetual wars.

"I meant the book to be tongue-in-cheek, a parody of the Bible and creation itself, but it has evolved to be more of a comedy-drama, serious yet laced with witticisms and amusements, and even romance. It includes the feature and most unique element to fiction, periodic, long-running conversations by the "Godd Couple", set in a stage play format, as well as a plethora of additional conversations embedded in the narrative. Their exchanges are sparkling, free-flowing and thought-provoking. We present God as much more human than he has perhaps ever been portrayed. He reveals shocking revelations and even a grand confession, the most shattering epiphany a God can have. And not arguably! Enjoy the exploration."
