Mrs. Warren's Profession is a play written by George Bernard Shaw in 1893. The play centers around a young woman named Vivie Warren who discovers that her mother, Mrs. Kitty Warren, has made her fortune by running a string of brothels across Europe. The play explores themes of class, morality, and gender roles as Vivie struggles to come to terms with her mother's profession and her own place in society as a young, independent woman. Along the way, she meets a number of colorful characters, including her mother's business partner, Sir George Crofts, and a young man named Frank Gardner who becomes romantically involved with Vivie.
