The book contains a compilation of test taking tips that I have learnt from several academic resources over the years; tips and techniques that helped me ace the MSCN, the CCRN, the CRNI and the CCM nursing certification exams. As one studies for certification exams, it is critical that one also devotes some time to reviewing important test taking skills and techniques. Knowledge of relevant subject matter is certainly very important, but having good test taking skills can definitely come in handy when one is faced with difficult, "tricky" multiple choice questions that often appear in various nursing certification exams. This book will give you a step by step guide on some of the best ways to study for your certification examination. You will get more information about important resources that will prove to be very helpful when preparing to take the MSCN Exam! This is the first of a two volume series of books for the MSCN exam preparation. Volume 1 is focused on reviewing and honing test taking skills and techniques. For more clarity, sample questions specific to each test taking technique are included. For more elaborate practice of content material, detailed sample questions and test taking skills, Volume 2 has 150 practice test Questions, simulating the exact number of questions and content material found in the MSCN exam itself. The Blueprint of the Multiple Sclerosis Nursing International Certification Examination, as outlined in the MSNICB Exam Handbook, was a point of focus during the creation of these books. The test taking strategies outlined in this book can be used succcessfully to challenge the MSCN and most other Nursing Certification Exams. These test taking tips and strategies are detailed, thorough and time-tested. As a Certified Registered Nurse, I have time and again used the ideas in this book to successfully pass Certification Exams in Multiple Sclerosis Nursing, Infusion Nursing, Case Management Nursing and Critical Care Nursing, each at just one attempt! This book, and my other book titled, "MSCN Exam Preparation: 150 Test Review Questions," are invaluable study materials for the Multiple Sclerosis Nursing International Certification Examination. Even though each book can be used independent of the other, I believe they will be more helpful when used together to prepare for this very important exam.
