Deadly care ahead...
Lady Marjorie Snellthorpe and her friends are going undercover! After a brief rehabilitation stay at the luxurious Evergreen Acres Retirement Home, her cousin-in-law, Edna, is convinced that two recent deaths involved foul play, and she calls in Marjorie and Horace to pose as residents to do some digging. They soon discover that someone in this prestigious establishment is taking the concept of 'caring' way too far...
As the friends navigate between physiotherapy and afternoon tea, a talkative parrot, Apollo, becomes an unlikely ally, repeating conversations that point to sinister goings-on. When a former detective is found collapsed in his apartment, Marjorie suspects they are dealing with a killer who'll stop at nothing to keep their secrets safe.
Can Marjorie expose the truth before another unsuspecting retiree is killed with unkindness?
Murder in a Care Home delivers a witty and warm investigation into the deadly side of retirement living, where even the parrot knows too much for his own good! Ideal for fans of Richard Osman and Nita Prose.
