Der römische Architekt Vitruv fordert sie für die Darstellung der Architektur ein, ebenso sein renaissancezeitlicher Kollege Alberti. Damit ist der Rahmen für das Mittelalter gegeben, dessen Baukunst beweisbar in die Musik eingebettet ist. Schlie lich - so die Überlieferung - sei doch Gunzo als Gründungsabt von Cluny ein Musiker gewesen!

About The Author

Der Autor: Werner Heinz schloss seine Studien, die ihn auch zur Theologie und zur Philosophie führten, in der Klassischen Archäologie und der Kunstgeschichte 1978 an der Universität Tübingen mit einer Dissertation über römische Bäder ab. Diese Themenstellung führte ihn von 1979 bis 1982 zu Untersuchungen am römischen Heilbad von Badenweiler im südlichen Schwarzwald, wo er - aufbauend auf gemeinschaftliche Arbeiten zum Turm der Winde in Athen - musikalische Harmonien in der Architektur flächendeckend nachweisen konnte - wie von 1991 bis 1992 auch beim römischen Theater von Augst (Schweiz). Der Autor ist Verfasser zahlreicher Veröffentlichungen, u.a. 5 Monografien und ca. 80 Beiträge für Zeitschriften, Lexika und Sammelbände. Er lebt als freiberuflicher Archäologe in Sindelfingen.
