Deepti Singh Gupta did her graduation and post-graduation from Hindu College, Delhi University, and has a doctorate in botany. She gave up a career in academia to pursue her two main passions—writing and travel. She set up a travel blog in 2013 and now is an avid blogger @GlobalPitara. Her columns and photographs have been featured in magazines and websites such as Lonely Planet and National Geographic. She has also exhibited her travel photographs at prestigious art galleries. She lives in Faridabad, with her son Kushagra and her lawyer husband Jeetender. This is her debut novel.
