Barbara Sellers-Young is Senior Scholar and Professor Emerita in the Department of Dance at York University, Toronto, Canada. She has taught at universities in England, the USA, China and Australia. She is currently the Editor-in-Residence for the Dance Chronicle and has edited three volumes on dance, one of which is Oxford Handbook of Dance and Ethnicity (co-edited with Anthony Shay).

Jade Rosina McCutcheon holds a Doctorate of Creative Arts in theatre and is currently finishing a second PhD in feminist film studies at Melbourne University, Australia. She has directed over sixty theatre productions, received the Rod Rose Award from the International Society of Research Administrators for an outstanding article and was a co-founder of the Performance and Consciousness group for the International Federation of Theatre Research.
