Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Mediengeschichte, Note: 1,0, Universität Siegen, Veranstaltung: Nationalsozialistsches Kino und Geschlecht, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Filme aus der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus in den Griff zu bekommen, stellt auch nach über 60 Jahren ein moralisches und ästhetisches Problem dar: Nicht jeder Film aus der Zeit zwischen 1933 und 1945 lässt sich ohne weiteres in das lose geschnürte Korsett der Filmpropaganda zwängen - zumindest verlangt ein Teil der Filme, auch au erhalb dieses Entstehungskontextes gelesen und gewürdigt zu werden. Dies zeigt sich beispielsweise an der auch heutzutage noch diskutierten ästhetischen Sprache der Bilder Leni Riefenstahls1 oder der anhaltenden Popularität der Heinz-Rühmann-Filme, welche ob ihres Unterhaltungswertes zum festen Kanon des deutschen Fernsehprogramms gehören. Der 1941-42 entstandene Film "Die gro e Liebe" macht es einem hier etwas leichter: Dass es sich um einen durch und durch propagandistischen Film handelt, lässt sich nicht nur anhand seines Status als "Staatsauftragsfilm" oder des Reichsfilmzensurprädikates "staatspolitisch wertvoll" verifizieren2 - die Absichten des Films sind gewisserma en intuitiv evident, bedient er sich doch in selbstverständlicher Manier der Werte und Chiffren des Dritten Reiches. Welche Mittel der Film im Einzelnen nutzt und welchen Effekt er sich davon erhofft: dies soll Gegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit sein. Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Betrachtung der Hauptfigur, dem militärischen "Helden", welcher zwar selbst einer festen Grö e im nationalsozialistischen Wertesystem entspricht, aber bemerkenswerterweise auch eine Wandlung durchläuft - zu einem Helden, für den sich nicht nur der Ritt in die Schlacht, sondern auch der Weg nach Hause lohnt. Welche Bedürfnisse befriedigt ein solcher "volkstümlich wertvoller" Held und unterscheidet sich diese Figur tatsächlich von den bis dahin tradierten Heroen? Diese Fragen stehen am E
