Neurodegenerative diseases affect millions of people worldwide and are a group of several diseases with distinct pathology, physiology, prevention, and treatment strategies. Recently, natural products especially derived from medicinal plants are gaining momentum to manage neurodegenerative disease safely and effectively. Therefore, there is an urgent need to provide a ready roadmap for scientifically validated value-added nutraceutical and pharmaceutical safe and effective product for the management of various neurodegenerative diseases
Natural Scaffolds for Prevention and Treatment of Neurodegenerative Disorders will provide compiled information stating several identified neurodegenerative diseases including pathology and physiology. From vast literature on natural products, such asscientifically validated plant bioactives, traditional approaches to combat or prevent neurodegenerative conditions are also included along with molecular mechanisms. The book will further specify:
- Single window complied information on various neurodegenerative diseases.
- Possible projection of bioactivity from natural resources to each category of neurodegenerative diseases.
- Ready-to-use reference material to develop several value-added products or proceed to the next level.

Dr. Neeraj Kumar Sethiya is currently working as an Associate Professor at Faculty of Pharmacy, DIT University, Dehradun. He has a total of 16 years of experience of teaching, research and innovation.Dr. Sethiya completed his PhD (Pharmacy) in March, 2012 from The MS University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat, India and M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from Dr. H. S. Gour Central University Sagar, MP, India. He is recipient of many acclaimed awards. He is also currently handling industrial and Govt funded project. During his tenure, he published 68 reputed scientific papers, 13 Book Chapters, 7 Books, 20 patents (6 Granted and 14 Published) and Supervised 1 PhD student.His major research includes target-oriented and lead-based design and development of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) from natural scaffolds against Anti-stress, Anxiolytic, Anti-arthritis, Antidiabetic, Antioxidant, Alzheimer's, Antimalarial, Hepatoprotective andAntiurolithiatic. He is currently working on the area of herbal nutraceuticals, herbal cosmetics and value-added product development from organic waste, He framed the curriculum and introduced Clinical Pharmacognosy, first time as an added subject for B. Pharm students at DIT University. Besides teaching pharmacognosy and natural product chemistry, he has also hands-on domain and expertise on innovation, entrepreneurship, patents, and NBA approval.
Additionally, Dr. Sethiya has been enlisted as world top 2% Scientist List jointly declared by Stanford University and Elsevier for the last three consecutive years. He has been Honoured as Editor in Chief for Bentham Sciences Journal Current Indian Sciences- Natural Product. Recently, Dr. Sethiya has been appointed as Reviewer Credit Ambassador of India.
Durgesh Nandini Chauhan, MPharm, has several years of academic (teaching) experience at institutes in India in pharmaceutical sciences working in Columbia College of Pharmacy, Raipur CG India. She taught subjects as pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, traditional concepts of medicinal plants, drug delivery, phytochemistry, cosmetic technology, pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical packaging, quality assurance, dosage form designing, and anatomy and physiology. She is a member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, SILAE: Società Italo-Latinoamericana di Etnomedicina (The Scientific Network on Ethnomedicine, Italy), and others. She has attended several workshops, conferences, and symposiums, including the AICTE-Sponsored Staff Development Program on "Effects of Teaching and Learning Skills in Pharmacy: Tool for Improvement of Young Pharmacy Teachers." She has written more than ten articles published in national and international journals, 15 book chapters, and editors in 10 books. She is also active as a reviewer for several international scientific journals and an active participant at national and international conferences, including Bhartiya Vigyan Sammelan and the International Convention of Society of Pharmacognosy. Presently she joined Ishita Research Organization, Raipur, India as a freelance writer and guide for students in pharmacy, Ayurvedic, and science in their research projects. She would be interested in data analysis, proposal writing, questionnaire design, designing and developing research questionnaires and policy. She would be actively engaged with accurately monitoring, investigating and analyzing all statistical information, professionally presenting information, reports and investigating and documenting key data and information at the request of senior researchers.
Dr. Nagendra Singh Chauhan obtained his M.Pharm, Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar, MP, India. He has around 20 years of research experience. He is presently working as a Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I and Government Analyst at Drugs Testing Laboratory Avam Anusandhan Kendra, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. He has professional expertise in Natural Product Isolation and phytopharmacology. He has written more than 70 articles published in national and international journals and 32 book chapters and edited 7 books. Recipient of Dr. P. D. Sethi Memorial National Award for the best HPTLC publication from India in the year 2021 and 2022. He is a member of various professional and academic bodies like the Society of Pharmacognosy India, the International Natural Product Sciences Taskforce (INPST) society, SILAE: Società Italo-Latinoamericana di Etnomedicina (The Scientific Network on Ethnomedicine, Italy), Institutional Human ethical committee, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), and Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association.
Dr. Kamal Shah has more than 18 years of research and teaching experience and currently working as Professor at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, GLA University, Mathura,
India. He has completed B.Pharma from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (M.P.) in 2003. He was gold medalist in B.Pharm., M.Pharm. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sagar University, Sagar, India and PhD from APJ Kalam University Lucknow, India. He has written more than 90 articles published in national and international journals, 20 book chapters and 05 edited books. His SCOPUS h index is 17, with 905 citations.
