Hier setzt die Idee der Naturpädagogik an. Ganzheitliches Lernen mit Auge, Herz und Hand bildet die Grundlage der Naturpädagogik. Ein weiterer Grundsatz der Naturpädagogik ist die Beziehungsarbeit in der Natur, diese führt wiederum zur Handlungsbereitschaft des Individuums mit seiner direkten Umwelt. Die kosmische Erziehung nach Maria Montessori verfolgt übrigens ähnliche Ansätze. Hierbei geht es auch um das Erleben und Begreifen des Kindes in seiner direkten Umwelt. Das Verstehen der Welt erfolgt in übergreifenden Kreisen von der Makro- zur Mikroebene. Elementare Fragen werden durch verschiedene methodische Herangehensweisen und Materialien erfahren. Der Kosmos als Ganzes wird vermittelt mit respektvollem Umgang allen Lebewesen gegenüber. Die Vielfalt der Methoden der Naturpädagogik geben Pädagogen, Eltern und Kindern neue Wege zu einem umfassenden Wissen und Verhältnis mit sich selbst und der erlebten Welt.
