In Zeiten, als das Wissen der Menschheit für die Zukunft gespeichert wurde, hatte das Buch das Rennen gemacht. Erst waren Urzeitmenschen unterwegs, die mit Faustkeilen Zeichnungen an Felswände ritzten, drau en oder in Höhlen. Das war mühsam. Vor allem dauert es lange. Deshalb erfanden findige Finger Lehmziegel, in die Keile gedrückt wurden. Andere malten Zeichnungen auf Tempelwände und Papyri; allmählich wurden aus Bildern Symbole, aus diesen Lautzeichen. Wenn jemand also ein 'A' brauchte, lie er seine Phantasie sprie en, malte je nach Charakter und Verderbtheit einen Affen oder einen Arsch. Hat jemand eine Idee, mit welchem Symbol sich die anonymen Antialkoholiker darstellen könnten? Bei zweimal 'A' pa te ja ein Affenarsch, aber dreimal 'A'? ... Nachdem wir nun gelesen haben, was ein Buch ist, dabei einen Narrentanz hingelegt haben, bei dem wir quer durch alle Fettnäpfchen in Reichweite getrampelt sind, können wir eigentlich mit dem Buch anfangen. ... Warum die Sicht von Verlierern? Weshalb zum Kuckuck sollen wir die Sicht von Verlierern lesen? Das schert uns nicht! Ganz einfach: Weil der Blick umso klarer wird, umso weiter jemand drau en steht und umso mehr schiefgeht.
