Other Significant Languages:
  • Fulfulde - Spoken by the Fulani people across the north.
  • Kanuri - Spoken in the northeast (Borno region).
  • Tiv, Edo, Urhobo, Ibibio, Efik, Ijaw - Spoken in central and southern Nigeria.
Nigerian Pidgin English:
  • Also called Naija.
  • An English-based creole language used widely across ethnic lines.
  • Common in informal speech, music, comedy, and urban culture.
  • Becoming increasingly important in media and entertainment.
