ONE CAT. TWO GIRLS. THREE WAYS TO DIE.

It's 1871. Fourteen-year-old Rose and her twin sister, Lily are on their way to Egypt. When a sinister Egyptologist joins their ship, Rose senses terrible danger. Wherever she is, there he is too, watching from the shadows. But no one, not even Lily will heed her warnings.

After receiving a stone cat amulet, the spirit of Miut, a long-dead temple cat, haunts Rose's dreams. An ancient mystery propels her and Lily on a perilous quest.

Can the sisters working together put the past to rest and escape their enemy's clutches, or will they be sacrificed to the Egyptian gods in a blood ritual as old as time itself?

If you love historical thrillers, get this book! Find out why reviewers call it, "A grand adventure that sweeps readers back in time."

Cecil Reid, Angela: - Angela Cecil Reid taught children with dyslexia for many years. She and her husband now live on a farm in Oxfordshire and look after a menagerie of dogs, chickens and a flock of rare breed Cotswold sheep. Since her children have left home she has spent more time writing, and also researching her Egyptologist ancestors for a biography. Her debut novel Nile Cat was inspired by her great grandmother, May Tyssen-Amherst's memoir of childhood winters spent in Egypt in the 1870s.
