Sometimes growing up can be scary. No More Monsters uses storytelling and rhyme to create a supportive space within which a child can problem solve ways to face their fears and gain new understandings.

When it is time for bed and the monsters come out for messy monster play, the child wants to make the monsters disappear, but it doesn't work. One night it all becomes too much and the child cries out for their mother who offers a simple suggestion. When the child builds up enough courage and gives Mum's suggestion a go, they are surprised by what happens next. Not only do the monsters go, but they realise that the monsters were just as scared of them as they were of the monsters. The story ends with no more monsters in the bedroom and a child with a lot to tell their mother at breakfast the next morning.
