Nona's Mommy in the Military was born from Harrington's desire to help children who are struggling with a prolonged separation from their parents to process and manage their complex emotions. Featuring tips for both children and parents for maintaining familial bonds as well as discussion questions to encourage communication, the book fosters emotional growth and reminds children in military families that they are not alone.
