Gerade gro e Projekte sind anfällig für Fehleinschätzungen bezüglich Zeit und Kosten. Defizite bei der Softwarequalität sind die Folge.Da die Softwareentwicklung einen hochgradig intellektuellen und wissensintensiven Prozess darstellt, ist der Einsatz wissensbasierter Managementansätze naheliegend. Die bisher im Software-Engineering publizierten Managementinstrumente und Vorgehensmodelle tragen den Problemfeldern und kritischen Erfolgsfaktoren nur unzureichend Rechnung, da innerhalb des Entwicklungsprozesses kein konsequenter Bezug auf den Erfahrungsschatz der Leistungsträger vorgesehen ist. Vor allem der Einsatz von freien Projektmitarbeitern birgt die Gefahr des dauerhaften Wissensabflusses, wenn eine Erfahrungssicherung versäumt wird. Ziel der Diplomarbeit ist es daher, das Konzept des Wissensmanagements in das traditionelle IT-Projektmanagement zu integrieren und einen Rahmen für die erfahrungsbasierte Softwareentwicklung zu erarbeiten, der sowohl Mensch, Technik als auch strukturelle Erfordernisse beinhaltet. Die zu Grunde liegende These dabei lautet: Das Management und der Einsatz von Projekterfahrungen, welche sich vor allem in einer höheren Planungssicherheit, in der Problemlösungskompetenz sowie in Prozess- und Produktinnovationen widerspiegeln, führen zu einer positiven Beeinflussung der kritischen Erfolgsfaktoren und somit zur Erzielung von Wettbewerbsvorteilen. Durch Lernprozesse entstandene Projekterfahrungen sind dabei die entscheidende Ressource für den Aufbau und Ausbau von Kernkompetenzen im Rahmen komplexer Entwicklungsprojekte. Als Resultat erwachsen sowohl Vorteile innerhalb der Durchführung von Projekten (Zeit, Kosten) als auch bei der erstellten Softwarelösung (Funktionalität, Qualität).
