The king dies under suspicious circumstances!

Against her parents' wishes, Fortia sneaks out of the house to attend Prince Tonitro's coronation. To take the crown a royal must prove their worth by crushing a magical nugget, an object that can only be broken in the jaws of a future king or queen. After the ceremony Fortia finds a piece of this nugget, but little does she know, her souvenir is the one piece of evidence that can prove the king was murdered.

THE JOURNEY INTO OAKENMEER BEGINS!

She soon learns that her father is a knight in the Ordo Nux Aurea, a secret order sworn to protect the origins of that rare nugget. Troops are sent to arrest her family, but she escapes and joins three knights of The Order on an epic quest.

The clock is ticking! Tonitro is planning an invasion of the neighboring kingdoms of Pignoli and Pecan!

Fortia faces innumerable challenges! She confronts death at the Southern Gorge and protects a friend in the mysterious Dry Woods. Combat takes a heavy toll in the elusive Grasslands. In the Unbroken Woods she uses the ancient tools of The Order to survive before finding the Crystal Tower. Traversing the Kingdom of Roots, a new friendship begins with a creature from a long-forgotten time.

She cannot do it alone! Royals, peasants and magical creatures all assist her in the struggle to correct the wrongs of her kingdom.
