Dieses Praxishandbuch gibt nach einer kurzen Darstellung des allgemeinen Rechtsrahmens für ausländische Direktinvestitionen auf dem Subkontinent einen Überblick über den Ablauf öffentlicher Übernahmen in Indien. Dabei stellt der Autor auch vergleichende Bezüge zum deutschen Übernahmerecht her.

Rechtsanwalt Dr. Benjamin Parameswaran arbeitet im Düsseldorfer Büro der Wirtschaftsrechtssozietät Hengeler Mueller und ist Mitglied des Hengeler Mueller India Desk. Er berät deutsche und ausländische Unternehmen im Bereich Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2008 / 2009 war er für die indische Anwaltskanzlei Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff in Mumbai (Bombay) tätig.

Der Autor studierte Rechts- und Wirtschafts­wissen­schaften in Hamburg (Universität Hamburg), Paris (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) und New York (Columbia Law School). Er war Stipendiat der Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes sowie der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft und ist Autor diverser Publikationen zum deutschen und internationalen Wirtschaftsrecht.
