During his career he served in roles including Chief Medical Officer and President & CEO of a large regional healthcare system, where he worked at the intersection of patient care, medical ethics, and healthcare innovation.Dr. Pepe writes about medicine, decision-making, and the human side of healthcare. His work explores how physicians, patients, and families navigate complex medical choices and the moral uncertainty that often accompanies them.He is the author of On All Sides of the Bed: One Physician's Journey, a memoir reflecting on the experiences that shaped his career in medicine and leadership.Dr. Pepe lives in St. Petersburg, Florida.
