Prof. Dr. Rainer Schwenkert studierte Mathematik an der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Seit 1993 ist er als Professor für Mathematik und Datenbanksysteme an der Hochschule München tätig. Bedingt durch zahlreiche Vorlesungen in Informatik und Finanzwissenschaft liegt sein Focus auf praxisorientierten Anwendungen der Mathematik.

Prof. Dr. Yvonne Stry studierte in Gießen und Bonn Mathematik und ist seit 1994 Professorin für Mathematik an der Technischen Hochschule Georg Simon Ohm in Nürnberg. Sie betont den Anwendungsaspekt ihrer Wissenschaft und ist auch auf dem Gebiet der Hochschuldidaktik aktiv.
