Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: 1,0, Helmut-Schmidt-Universität - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen des Seminars "Parteien in der Weltgeschichte" wurden verschiedene historische Gruppierungen bezüglich ihrer Zusammensetzung und Interessen untersucht. Ziel war es hierbei, festzustellen, ob diese Gruppierungen als Parteien bezeichnet werden konnten und wie sie Politik durchführten. Im Rahmen dieser Hausarbeit soll eben dies auf die Optimaten und Popularen Roms angewandt werden. Dazu hat sich Maik Voigt mit den Kapiteln 1 und 5, Stephan Janzyk mit dem Kapitel 2 und Jan Lübke mit den Kapiteln 3 und 4 auseinandergesetzt. Dabei wird speziell auf die Zeit der mittleren und späten römischen Republik von circa 287 bis 27 vor Christus eingegangen. Ziel soll es sein, einen möglichen Parteiencharakter beider Gruppierungen festzustellen. Dazu werden sowohl die beiden Gruppierungen an sich betrachtet, als auch ein Beispiel der politischen Erscheinungen der römischen Republik, dem Volkstribunal. Abschlie end soll der Bürgerkrieg zwischen Marius und Sulla als jeweilige Vertreter der beiden Interessensgruppen untersucht werden, um zu schauen wohin die Konflikte führen konnten. Wie bereits erwähnt sind erste Ausprägungen der Gruppierungen in der mittleren römischen Republik erkennbar, jedoch findet sich die Blütezeit der Optimaten und Popularen in der späten römischen Republik. Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen historischen Datenerfassung ist es teilweise nur schwer möglich, die einzelnen Daten auszuwerten1 und eindeutig einer politischen Haltung oder Abstammung zu zuordnen2 [...] 1 als Beispiel stammen viele Schriften über die Popularen von Cicero, welcher selbst den Optimaten zuzurechnen ist 2 vgl.
