Oral Geno dermatoses are a group of inherited disorders that affect both the skin and oral mucosa, often presenting with distinctive oral manifestations such as leukoplakia, gingival hyperplasia, mucosal atrophy, and blistering. These conditions result from genetic mutations affecting keratin, collagen, or other structural proteins, leading to fragile or thickened mucosa. Common examples include White Sponge Nevus, Pachyonychia Congenita, Epidermolysis Bullosa, and Dyskeratosis Congenita. While some are benign, others carry risks of complications like oral cancer or severe mucosal damage.
