Die Quartiers�ffnung der station�ren Altenhilfe bietet zwei Chancen: Einerseits kann die interne Organisation und die Struktur der Pflegeheime weiterentwickelt werden und anderseits ein Beitrag zu den "sorgenden Gemeinschaften" geleistet werden. Aber in welcher Art und Weise stellen sich die Heime dieser Herausforderung? Welche Konzepte und Erfahrungen liegen bereits vor? Was sind f�rdernde und hemmende Bedingungen dieser Entwicklung? Mit diesen Fragen hat sich ein empirisches Forschungsprojekt besch�ftigt - Gut alt werden in Rheinland-Pfalz (GALINDA), das seitens der Pflegewissenschaftlichen Fakult�t der Philosophisch-Theologischen Hochschule Vallendar durchgef�hrt wurde. Im Ergebnis wird deutlich, dass in der Organisationskultur der Einrichtungen ein Schl�ssel der Ver�nderung und Innovation liegt. Hier die entsprechenden Akzente zu setzen, ist Aufgabe der Verantwortlichen vor Ort, der Tr�ger, aber selbstverst�ndlich auch der Politik. Eine interne und externe Unterst�tzungskulturim Hinblick auf �ffnung und De-Institutionalisierung ist erforderlich, hierzu kann GALINDA belastbare Aussagen treffen. Datengrundlage sind Interviews, Beobachtungen und Gruppendiskussionen in mehreren Standorten sowie eine landesweit durchgef�hrte standardisierte Erhebung in Rheinland-Pfalz.


Hermann Brandenburg ist Professor für Gerontologische Pflege an der Philosophisch-Theologischen Hochschule Vallendar (PTHV).
Martin Lörsch ist Professor für Pastoraltheologie an der Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Trier. Judith Bauer ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im GALINDA-Projekt und arbeitet am Lehrstuhl für Gerontologische Pflege der Pflegewissenschaftlichen Fakultät der PTHV. Bernadette Ohnesorge ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im GALINDA-Projekt und arbeitet am Lehrstuhl für Gerontologische Pflege der Pflegewissenschaftlichen Fakultät der PTHV. Christian Grebe ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im GALINDA-Projekt und arbeitet an der Fachhochschule Bielefeld und an der Universität zu Köln.
