With detailed instructions and vivid, four-color photos, Ayako Brodek shows readers how to make forty elegant and unusual pieces of jewelry--from brooches and necklaces to earrings and hair ornaments. Each project includes a list of materials, illustrated step-by-step folding and finishing instructions, a color photo of the completed piece, and suggested color variations, paper designs, and embellishments to make each piece exciting and unique.

The book opens with sections on choosing paper, equipment, basic folds and bases, and making the piece that then becomes the building block for all the modular and beaded origami jewelry designs that follow. There is a section on finishing techniques, followed by the main part of the book, the Directory, which is organized by season and motif:

About The Author

Ayako Brodek's love of origami began when she was a little girl in Japan. After moving to the United States, her fascination with paper foldingcontinued, and she founded OriCraft (www.oricraft.com) to introduce her work to a wider audience. She has since embraced a variety of paper arts, and works to design paper creations that can be loved and used in everyday life, exploring ways to combine papercrafts with other craft techniques.
