Origen Against Celsus V3 is a book written by Origen, a prominent early Christian theologian and philosopher. The book is a continuation of Origen's response to the criticisms of the pagan philosopher Celsus, who had written a scathing attack on Christianity in his book, The True Word. The book is an important work of early Christian apologetics and provides valuable insights into the intellectual climate of the early Church.But observe what he alleges as a proof of his statement: ""Christians at first were few in number, and held the same opinions; but when they grew to be a great multitude, they were divided and separated, each wishing to have his own individual party: [4] for this was their object from the beginning.""
