Nicht allgemein bekannt sind die paraneoplastischen Endo- krinopathien, die haufig bei intrathorakalen Tumoren aber auch bei Geschwiilsten der Abdominalorgane, des Harntraktes, des Skelettes, der Generationsorgane und bei Erkran- kungen des lymphatischen Systems sowohl im Erwachsenenalter als auch im Kindesalter beobachtet werden und zu Osteopathien mit periostalen Reaktionen und zu rachitischen Veranderungen fUhren konnen. . Die Skelettantwort im Kindesalter ist gekennzeichnet durch die Reaktion des Kno- chens als Organ, dariiber hinaus auch seiner Wachstumszonen und damit seines Wachs- turns, wahrend sich beim Erwachsenen die Antwort auf die Transformation der Tela ossea beschranken muB. So wenig befriedigend bei der relativen Monotonie der Skelett- reaktionen auf die sehr verschiedenen pathogenetischen Bedingungen eine Einteilung der Osteopathien nach diesen Basisstorungen sein mag, so ist sie doch die einzig mogliche und fruchtbare, da sie uns bei einer Vielzahl von Osteopathien den Weg zeigt, mit Hilfe weiterfUhrender Untersuchungen eine subtilere Differenzierung und therapeutische Ansatzpunkte zu erreichen, die allein aus dem Rontgenbild nicht zu gewinnen sind.
