In this book, the author seeks to fill a gap in the availability of accessible resources on Hindu Philosophy. Having experienced the need for a concise volume covering the essential topics of Hindu Metaphysics, the author aims to offer a systematic exposition for beginners and those with limited access to numerous Sanskrit treatises. The complexities of Hindu Rishis' profound insights can be daunting for ordinary students, especially when lacking a comprehensive, structured resource in Sanskrit. This treatise endeavors to make the subject more approachable and avoids excessive technicalities. The author hopes that this work will spark readers' interest in the study of Hindu Metaphysics and pave the way for further exploration of higher subjects.

Manmatha Nath Dutt (Shastri) (1855–1912) was a distinguished Bengali writer and a renowned scholar proficient in Sanskrit and Pali. He held prominent positions as a rector in educational institutions like Keshab Academy and Serampore College. Often hailed as India's most prolific translator of Hindu epics and sacred texts, he later adopted the name Manmatha Nath Shastri after obtaining his degree. Dutt's achievements included a translation of Mahanirvan Tantra and a comprehensive book on the life, teachings, and order of Buddha. In the preface of the latter, he stated that it was based on all available works in Sanskrit and Pali.
