Wandel kann nicht mehr als Ausnahmesituation, sondern muss als Normalfall im Managementalltag von Krankenhäusern begriffen werden." Das Krankenhaus als eines der zentralen Dienstleistungsunternehmen für das Gut Gesundheit verbraucht trotz zahlreicher Reformversuche weiter zu viele Finanzressourcen mit dem Resultat, dass auch in Deutschland Krankenhäuser schlie en. Die zukunftsorientierten Krankenhäuser leisten ihren Beitrag zur Bestandssicherung und suchen im Rahmen der politischen sowie der gesellschaftlichen Anforderungen nach Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten um ihre Wirtschaftlichkeit und Qualität zu optimieren. Hierbei bedienen sich die Managements zunehmend betriebswirtschaftlicher Konzepte. Das OUTSOURCING-KONZEPT ist eines davon und bildet den Untersuchungsgegenstand dieser Arbeit. OUTSOURCING wird im klassischen Sinn als Konzept zur Kostenreduktion verstanden. Heute beschreibt es Möglichkeiten, um Unternehmensstrukturen, Funktionen und Prozesse wirtschaftlich zu optimieren. Es bietet somit Möglichkeiten Kostenstrukturen und die Kernaufgaben getrennt von den eigentlichen Sekundärleistungen des Krankenhauses aufzuzeigen.
