With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queen's University, painting, sculpture, ceramics, welding, needlecrafts, sand sculpting, and pumpkin carving are just a handful of the artistic challenges he's taken on. Whatever he learns, he teaches to his primary school students (except the welding) and members of the local community. You can also see him presenting at education conferences, sharing innovative, research-based techniques and strategies for teaching math and art to young children.Roy is the creator of Dot to Dot to Dot: 88 Advanced Dot to Dot Puzzles with Extra Dots-a fun and challenging way to learn and practice skip-counting and repeated addition. He is currently on the third draft of a paranormal YA novel and teaching himself Welsh, Turkish, and Mandarin (if he's not distracted by all the stained glass in his garage).Roy lives with his wife of 26 years in northern Ontario, surrounded by rocks and trees and water.
