L'arte di Paolo Uccello ha una profondità prospettica. Si può affermare ciò pensando non solo alla sua passione per quella tecnica rappresentativa che negli anni fiorentini in cui visse conobbe una rinascita esemplare grazie al contributo di Brunelleschi e dell'Alberti, ma anche considerando la densità del suo stile e la cultura pittorica di cui era impregnato. Nel primo caso avviene che, osservando un suo quadro, si rimanga colpiti dall'eleganza fantasiosa della scena, e che poi, da quella sintesi in perfetto equilibrio, emergano un numero inaspettato di particolari che la rendono così compatta. Mazzocchi e calici, zoccoli e sfere puntute, lance spezzate, elmi, brandelli di armature: il ripostiglio di uno scienziato alchemico che ha il suo ordine mentale non subito comprensibile, tutti particolari accurati e perfettamente finiti che il maestro ha pensato come tessere di un unico mosaico. Nel secondo caso apprezziamo il grande sapere di un pittore che ha attinto dall'arte del passato e ha fatto propri gli stili e i temi trascorsi senza curarsi delle mode che lo circondavano; un pennello enciclopedico che sapeva anche fondere il contemporaneo patinandolo di luccicante arcaismo, la prova di un maestro senza tempo ma anche solitario perché poco capito, poco seguito. Profondità prospettica, si diceva, un modo per avere una vista d'insieme della costellazione pittorica di Paolo Uccello.

Unia, Flavio: - Flavio Unia è nato a Roma nel 1974 dove ha frequentato gli studi di grafica pubblicitaria. Successivamente si è iscritto alla scuola di scultura presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara terminando il ciclo di studi all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera con il massimo dei voti. Vive e lavora a Bergamo come arredatore di case private, uffici ed enti pubblici. E' attivo come collaboratore per le scenografie presso il Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo e come scenografo presso compagnie teatrali private. In qualità di designer collabora con un'azienda di illuminazione partecipando a mostre ed eventi con le sue creazioni.
