Pariah is a novel written by the Swedish playwright and author, August Strindberg. Originally published in 1889, it is a story that explores the themes of love, jealousy, and betrayal. The main character, Gustav, is a young man who is deeply in love with a woman named Laura. However, Laura is already engaged to another man, and Gustav's love for her becomes obsessive and all-consuming.
