Parisina is a tragic opera in three acts by Gaetano Donizetti, with an Italian libretto by Felice Romani. First performed in Florence in 1833, the opera tells a dramatic story of love, betrayal, and ultimately, execution.

Set in fifteenth-century Ferrara, the opera revolves around Parisina Malatesta, her husband Duke Azzo, and Ugo, a knight whom Parisina secretly loves and who is, unbeknownst to them, Azzo's illegitimate son. The discovery of their affair leads to a series of tragic events, culminating in the execution of Parisina and Ugo.
