Die Patienten auf einer Intensivstation benötigen nach einer gro en Operation, nach einem schweren Unfall oder aufgrund einer schweren Erkrankung, besonders intensive medizinische und pflegerische Betreuung. Der Aufenthalt stellt für die Patienten, aber auch für die Angehörigen eine Ausnahmesituation dar, in welcher Ängste und Sorgen eine gro e Rolle spielen. Patienten und Angehörige brauchen in genau dieser schwierigen Situation ausreichend "Informationen" und eine gute Beratung. Doch wie sieht die Beratung von Patienten aus, welche beatmet und sediert auf einer Intensivstation behandelt werden? Welche Rolle spielen die Angehörigen in dieser Situation? Und welche Bedürfnisse haben diese? Im Rahmen der Hausarbeit sollen diese Fragen beantwortet und die Grenzen und Möglichkeiten von Beratung auf der Intensivstation aufgezeigt werden. Hierzu wird zunächst eine systematische Literaturrecherche durchgeführt, um u.a. die Begriffe "Information", "Beratung" und "Schulung" zu definieren und voneinander abzugrenzen. Der Hauptteil der Hausarbeit beschäftigt sich dann mit der Patienten- und Angehörigenberatung auf der Intensivstation, insbesondere mit der Rolle der Angehörigen, deren Ängsten und Bedürfnissen, aber auch mit den Anlässen und Merkmalen der Beratung auf der Intensivstation sowie den gesetzlichen Vorgaben zum Thema Beratung. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf den erforderlichen Kompetenzen und Grundhaltungen einer beratenden Person aus professioneller Sicht.
