Tom Pascoe, his partner Sam and an ex detective inspector and his wife stumble across a brutal ritual murder near to their holiday center in the south of France. Intrigued by the fact that the victim was a young British student and unconvinced by the description of the act as 'suicide' by the local police, the unlikely quartet investigate for themselves. What they discover as they retrace the victim's footsteps leads them inexorably into ancient customs and civilizations unknown to Man and to incredible riches. It also makes them targets for government agencies who don't want the truth to be known. Pentagon Five is an adventure story with esoteric roots. The characters are fictional; the plot is semi-fictional but many of the events and references are all too real. As to the denouement, that is still to come.

Ian Wallace Campbell was born shortly after the end of WWII in the east end of London. A Cockney by birth, he moved to the Kent coast at the age of seven; passed the infamous 11+ exam and was educated at a local grammar school. He eschewed the idea of attending university and the day after he left school, embarked on a career as a photographer. Later, after several forays into the diverse worlds of Foreign Exchange and taxi driving, he used his skills to work as a freelance photo-journalist for the national press and started writing fiction. In 1994, he co-authored Geneset with David Wood some of whose subject matter was later developed by Dan Brown into The DaVinci Code. Later in life, he returned to college and University and graduated in 2000 with a B.Sc., in Physics. To this he added a PGCE and teaches mathematics at various schools in his locality.
