Watson, Jimmy R.: - Jimmy R. Watson writes books that are insightful, personal, unconventional, accessible, and at times humorous. A native West Texas, his writings are best read on the back porch with a favorite beverage in hand and the sprinkler running or on the tailgate of a pickup next to a creek and an un-baited fishing pole. His works explore theology, biblical interpretation and application, and ethics, or whatever he's thinking about at the moment. Watson is the pastor at Weimar United Church of Christ in Weimar, Texas. He has led congregations in Texas, Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky. He has a PhD in Theology and Ethics from Baylor University (1996). His life partner is Annie, a priest in the Roman Catholic Women's Priest movement. Together they have five children and five grandchildren that are spread hither and yon with no discernible migration pattern.
