Amidst a race against time to Afdeon, the fabled castle city in the clouds, to stay the judgment of the King of the Giants, and save Kizzon Ahlm from the headsman's axe, Braiden and Sissy must prove that love and determination can overcome even the greatest of odds.

When Braiden ends up bedridden with a sudden illness, Sissy embarks on a perilous quest, burdened with the reluctant partnership of the despised dark wizard who killed her mother. With the kingdom's future hanging in the balance, Sissy must set aside her thirst for vengeance, retrieve the life-saving herb, and return before it is too late.

Luckily, Cecelia and her trusty lady knuckles have a plan to try and recruit Pate and Kifferd to help-and she packed a basket full of sandwiches-to feed anyone who dares to get in her way.

Some of Braiden's heritage is revealed to Lady Cecelia, and it is as surprising, as it is incredible and frightening.
