HAECKEL r866) ist das Studium der Beziehungen der Organismen, der Pflanzengesellschaften und Biozonosen zu ihrer Umwelt., Okosystem" (nach A. G. TANSLEY 1935) ist der ganze Komplex von Organismen und Umweltfaktoren in einer okologischen Raumeinheit irgendeiner GroBenordnung., Landschaftsokologie" (C. TROLL rg38) ist das Studium des gesamten, in einem bestimmten Landschaftsausschnitt herrschenden komplexen Wirkungsgefliges zwischen den Lebensgemein- schaften und ihren Umweltbedingungen. Sie soll keine neue Wissenschaft sein, sondern lediglich ein besonderer Blickpunkt der Betrachtungsweise komplexer Naturerscheinungen. Mit Landschaftsokologie identisch ist der von V. N. SucATJEV 1943 gepragte Begriff, Geobiozonologie". Fur die kleinsten Einheiten eines Landschaftsmosaiks hat der Autor den Begriff, Okotop" vorgeschlagen, in Erweiterung von, Biotop", sy- nonym mit den Begriffen Site, Fazette, Geoform, Landschaftszelle, Fliese etc. anderer Autoren., Landschaftssukzession" (C. TROLL rg63) ist die Aufeinanderfolge von Okosystemen von einem Pionierstadium zu dem Reifestadium (, Kli- max"), und zwar die Aufeinanderfolge von Pflanzenbestiinden, Boden- bildungsstadien, Mikroklima, Bodenklima und Bodenwasserverhalten, also eine fortlaufende Folge von Beziehungssystemen aller Geofaktoren.
