In einer nach Entwicklung und Fortschritt drangenden Zeit muIJ das physikalische Denken aber auch au13erst elastisch sein und Pro- bleme behandeln, die zunachst keine unmittelbare Beziehung zur Praxis zu haben scheinen, sie aber iiberraschend schneIl einmal ge- winnen konnen. Aus diesem Grunde erscheinen hier nicht nur un- mittelbar technikbezogene Aufgaben, sondern auch solche mit im Laufe der Zeit klassisch gewordener, das formale Denken fOrdernder FragesteIlung. Deshalb wurden auch triviale Aufgaben, die ledig- lich durch Einsetzen von Werten in gegeberie Formeln gelost wer- den, nach Moglichkeit vermieden. Urn den Charakter des reinen Aufgabenbuches zu wahren, sind in den Aufgaben selbst die jeweils in Frage kommenden Gesetze bzw. Formeln und auch Hinweise zur Losung absichtlich nicht gegeben worden. Man findet diese ja in den einschlagigen Lehrbiichern, und sie konnen daher als bekannt vorausgesetzt werden. Die Losungen sind grundsatzlich als GrolJengleichungen angegeben und im Ansatz meist nur so weit ausgefiihrt, daIJ der jeweils an- gewandte Grundgedanke erkennbar ist. Urn die Aufgaben einem recht weiten Leserkreis zuganglich zu machen, wurden sie so ge- faat, da/3 ihre Losung durchweg mit den Mitteln der elementaren Mathematik und bis auf wenige Ausnahmen ohne Zuhilfenahme der Infinitesimalrechnung moglich ist.
