Dr. Verne, is the world's expert in walking corpse syndrome, so the neuroscientist is in the eye of the storm, Ground Zero-Toledo, Ohio-while his twin, a Detroit car designer, is just over the Michigan state line. Aton & Atom are two brothers without distinct borders in two cities, one of them an outgrowth of the other. Romantic & rhizomatic, Pink Zombie Rose is surreal psychedelia & new existentialism. Ode to the weirdo, philosophical belly flop, & call to action.

Beppi: - Beppi had a car accident on prom night-ok, really cliché, but true. She can still see, clearly, the slow motion moments before the crash, experiencing liminal time, but not time travel. Maybe Buster Casey was right & rabies is the secret, not just the crash. Like her artwork, Beppi merges art/music/film/books/pop culture into her life, her memories. Alexander's fearful moments with his dying stepfather mirrored the fear she felt as Miss Betty, dying of cancer, reached out to her with skeletal hands. Beppi has always blended words/images/ideas from the zeitgeist to tell stories, create portraits. PZR has been a perfect playground for Beppi's art.

Vangunten, Dia: - Dia VanGunten is just a punk who dreamed of a lawless genre-bender series where shady smarties smoke fatties, watch movies and read books, but also shit & piss, so she wrote Pink Zombie Rose. Her work is populated with flawed characters. Sometimes she's among them.
