Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Burns - An Atlas of New Techniques and Strategies presents new solutions in plastic and reconstructive surgery for burns built upon tried and true techniques of contracture restoration using various flaps and skin grafts. Accompanying illustrations and schemes allow the reader to visualize the process from mapping, dissecting and closing the wound. Preoperative and postoperative results are compared, with extensive illustrations and pictures that cover areas of the body most commonly treated for burns including face, neck, breast, torso, arms, legs, hands, and feet. Outcomes of the surgeries including full functional and aesthetic restoration of treated patients are meticulously photographed and provided alongside each technique. Viktor M. Grishkevich, MD
Currently retired, Dr. Grishkevich brings decades of experience to the table. He has two PhD degrees in Cardiac and Plastic/Reconstructive surgery. He is formerly the Chief Scientist of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. He is a current member of The New York Academy of Sciences and fellow of The Washington Academy of Sciences. He has 9 patents of new surgical techniques, over 150 published articles in Russian medical journals, 39 published manuscript in English language medical journal in the USA and UK, and 2 published books on plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Max Grishkevich, MD
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a special interest in aesthetic medicine and cosmetics, he is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Grishkevich is the founder and medical director the 3,000-square foot VIP Medispa in Clackamas, OR offering the latest in skin and body treatments using lasers, injectable fillers and other proven cosmetic procedures that are safe, effective, affordable, and require little or no down time for recovery. Dr. Grishkevich received his medical degree with honors from the Moscow Medical Academy, and internship and residency at the Marshal University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. He has received advanced training and is certified in all clinical treatments and procedures preformed at the spa. He is affiliated with Adventist Medical Center in Portland.
