Ha recibido diversos premios, entre otros el Premio Hércules (2018), como Comisario del programa Montañés450, presidido por S.M. el Rey, y de la exposición "Juan Martínez Montañés: El dios de la madera" (Ayuntamiento de Alcalá la Real y Diputación de Jaén). Autor de 'Para ejercitar la maestría de los caballos. La nobleza sevillana y la fundación de la Real Maestranza de Caballería en 1670'. Publicaciones de la Excma. Diputación Provincial de Sevilla, 2012 (Premio 'Archivo Hispalense' de Historia 2011. Premio Nacional de Estudios Nobiliarios 2012 de la Federación Española de Genealogía y Heráldica); "Mayorazgos: Riqueza, nobleza y posteridad en la Sevilla del siglo XVI".
