"Poems by Revelation," is a collection of Christian poems, inspired by God, for the edification and encouragement of Christians. These poems are witty, funny and a "little" preachy, but they are written for understanding in plain language...they are poems that rhyme. These select poems cover a wide range of topics as the author challenges believers in Christ to greater faithfulness in their Christian walk. A rich array of poems that encourage Christians to be steadfast and obedient while following the "True Way of Life," taught by Christ. Poems include topics on biblical teachings, spiritual formation, stories of bible characters, how to survive spiritual warfare, as well as numerous teachings of God's grace, mercy, goodness and love.

Dr. Lydia A. Woods is a theologian and bible scholar, minister, hospital chaplain, inspirational speaker, and retired college professor. She earned her Doctorate in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia, and has also earned a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education degrees from the Interdenominational Theological Center. Dr. Woods began writing Christian poetry in 1989 and published her first collection of poems, "Poems by Revelation," in 1995. She has since published 15 Christian poetry books and written over 400 poems. She is working on several Biblical themed poetry books, a book on Wellness and Biblical Principles and a novel. She recently retired from College teaching, and is currently the Founder & CEO of "Family Community Outreach Services, Inc.. a non-profit organization located in the Historic South Atlanta area. Her ministry includes the "Women's Care and Support Center," which provides over 20 support groups for women and teen girls. Other outreach services feed the homeless and hungry and provide personal necessities for Atlanta's homeless population.
