Brett Vogelsinger is a National Board Certified Teacher of ninth-grade students at Holicong Middle School in the largest suburban school district in Pennsylvania. He leads the school's literary magazine and garden club. Brett enjoys reading about and trying innovative teaching methods, and for the past nine years has employed a "Poem of the Day" routine to start each class with beautiful words in the air. He has published an article in English Journal, and several pieces online with TeachThought, Edutopia, The Nerdy Book Club, and The New York Times Learning Network. His innovations with Back to School Night have been featured on the Teachers As Leaders podcast. His bachelor's degree is from Kutztown University and his graduate degree is from Cedar Crest College, both near his hometown of Allentown, PA, and he has been an NCTE member for years.
