Heloise Weber is Senior Lecturer in the School of Political Science and International Studies, The University of Queensland, Australia. She researches and writes on the global politics of development, inequalities and poverty reduction strategies, including  on theoretical and methodological aspects. She is co-editor (with M. T. Berger) of Recognition and Redistribution: Beyond International Development (2009) and co-author (with M. T Berger) of Rethinking the Third World: International Development and World Politics (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014). She is currently working on a book on the global politics of microcredit and poverty.
