Both understand how meaningful it is for children and families to see themselves and their languages reflected in the books they read.Their collaboration includes the dual-language book Dear Grandma and Grandpa / Queridos abuelos, which encourages children to write letters to their grandparents and loved ones, reminding readers of the joy that comes from connection and family. Sonia has also translated several of Vicki's books into Spanish, including La Abuela Bibi and Los pececitos aventureros, helping bring important messages about love, memory, and caring for our planet to more families.Through her work and writing, Sonia Elizabeth Soto continues to uplift families, educators, and young children, promoting connection, creativity, and the beauty of bilingual storytelling.
